The holiday season is here: a time for celebration, connection, and unfortunately, scams. PEPP is aware of suspicious phone calls using the caller ID for Plannera, our pension administrator. When members tried calling back, the number was not working. While we continue to assess the scope of these spoofed calls, we want to remind you to stay vigilant and protect your personal information.

Stay Alert!

  • Unexpected requests: Calls asking for personal or financial details.
  • Strange numbers: Caller IDs that seem unusual.
  • Pressure tactics: Urging you to act immediately.

What should you do?

  • Never share sensitive information over the phone unless you initiated the call to a verified PEPP number.
  • If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and report it to us at 1-877-275-7377 or pepp@plannera.ca.
  • Always check official PEPP channels for updates instead of relying on unsolicited calls.

The holidays are busy for everyone, including scammers. A little caution goes a long way in keeping your information safe.

While we’re focused on security, here’s some good news: we’ve made enhancements to your PEPP online account to make managing your pension easier, faster, and safer.

You can message PEPP directly through your online account. Your conversation history stays in one protected place, so no more digging through your inbox for that missing email. Plus, secure messaging is more private than email and backed by PEPP’s digital security framework.

Skip the post office and upload documents directly to your account. This means:

  • Your personal information goes straight to PEPP.
  • No waiting for mail delivery or in-person drop-offs.
  • Everything is linked to your account and doesn’t get lost in emails.

If you already have an online account, you can start using secure messaging and document upload immediately. If not, creating one is easy. Visit the login page and follow the sign-up instructions.
