Attention Variable Pension Benefit Members: Important Year-end Payment Information

As 2024 comes to a close there are timelines you need to be aware of for submitting lump-sum payment requests to ensure your payment is processed within the 2024 tax reporting period.

Employer Application Criteria

Application requirements

You must meet the following in your application:

  • a Government-based organization (i.e. Crown Corporation, Board or Agency) in Saskatchewan and/or a community-based organization that receives at least 50 per cent of their funding from the Government of Saskatchewan;
  • the employer, as best as can be determined, will exist permanently; and
  • the employer and employee contributions will be a minimum of 5 per cent of the employee's salary and the employer contributes a minimum of one per cent of the member's salary.

Applications to participate in the Plan must be made in writing to the Secretary of the Board.
