Choosing an Authenticator App

How Authenticator Apps Work

When added security is enabled, you'll use a 6-digit code along with your password each time you sign in. An authenticator app generates that code on your device. The code changes every 30 seconds, keeping your account safe even if someone else learns your password.

Choosing an Authenticator

All authenticator apps work the same way and follow the same open standard, so any app you choose will work with your PEPP account. The ones below are trusted, privacy-focused options, and all of them work the same way once set up.

Third‑Party Authenticator Apps

The authenticator apps listed are provided for your convenience only. They are created and run by third‑party companies, and we are not affiliated with or responsible for them.

We are not liable for any problems that result from using these apps, including security issues. You are responsible for choosing, installing, and managing any authenticator app you use.

Changing your device?

If you change devices, your authenticator app won't move automatically. To ensure your authenticator app and your settings move over to your new device, enable your backup service such as iCloud or Google account.
